A highly entertaining and delightful read... allows the reader to indulge their imagination... how I enjoyed the era, the places and the fascinating characters... Rod Sweatmen, who started life in a tent as the son of battlers on the banks of the Gascoyne River and went on to become a member of the Legislative Assembly in West Australia's State Parliament.
Tim Hargreaves is an Englishman who has spent over thirty years in Australia. A one time soldier, merchant seaman, and 'hobo' he has travelled much of the world and worked in all manner of capacities. Experiences have included that of a teacher, trader, carpenter, and seven years on a road gang. He built what is claimed to be the only shell block restaurant in the world, is a Local Government Councillor, sometime Gospel preacher, Marriage Celebrant, tour guide operator and small town journalist. Some people would like to shoot him and others think he is quite entertaining. Two fairly immediate concerns are (a) that you buy this book and (b) you enjoy it.
